Ballantyne Welcomes 135 More Jobs

Charlotte is suddenly becoming a world class cluster of energy related companies. Mitsubishi Nuclear Energy Systems Inc. will locate its main U.S. engineering center in Charlotte North Carolina. The company plans to lease 26,000 square feet of office space in the Ballantyne Corporate Park with a capital investment of $4-million. A leading supplier of nuclear power plants and replacement components will be offering 135 high-paying engineering jobs to the region, which is already home to about 240 other energy companies, that employ more than 26,000 people.
